Couple’s Retreat
The Nordenburg Couple's Retreat is the latest edition to the Nordenburg activity offerings. It has been created to offer locals and international guests the unique opportunity to experience the solitude and desolute vastness of the Namib Desert together with your loved one. If you are looking for a once in a lifetime get-away to surprise your partner, share quality time and focus on 'you time', we can assure the retreat will not disappoint. The couple's retreated is located on a rock hill, known as the Tourmaline Kuppe (tourmaline hilltop), offering outstanding views over the vast Nordenburg landscape and beyond.
The Couple's Retreat is an all inclusive service which includes:
- Entry and overnight stay on the Nordenburg Farm, with acccess to the Farmhouse Pool
- All inclusive equipment including: beds, bedding, full kitchen equipment and cutlery, camping shower and toilet, water and firewood
- 3 inclusive, standard meals (please email us your dietary requirements. The meals will be confirmed at booking)
- We recommend 1-2 nights for your stay and during the day you are free to enjoy and explore the farm premises at your own wish.
Pricing: 1500 NAD per night, maximum 2 persons
ITINERARY FOR THE COUPLE’s retreat
- Upon arrival and check in at Nordenburg farm, you will be given driving directions to the Tourmaline Kuppe by our Farm Manager, Ananias.
- Once you reach the bottom of the Tourmaline Kuppe, park your car and take your personal belongings for the evening. Follow the clearly marked path that will take you on a approximately 15 minute scenic hike to the top of the hilltop, where the Retreat location is waiting for you. All equipment will be set up prior to your arrival.
- Depending on arrival time, we recommend you enjoy a complimentary thirst quenching gin tonic or alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverage of your choice, while savouring the 360 degree views from the top of the Tourmaline Kuppe.
